Players who often quit multiplayer games before they end cause problems for others. As a penalty for players who often disconnect mid-game, we impose a fixed period of time when these players cannot use the Matching feature.
The following are considered against the rules when done mid-game:
- Closing the game application
- Switching off your Xbox One.
- Suspending your Xbox One (turning off your Xbox One using the Instant-On power mode)
- Disconnecting from the network
- Signing out from your profile
- Quitting the game from the system menu during online multiplayer
NB: You will also be unable to send friend invitations during a disconnection penalty period.
